Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor

Well it's the middle of winter and I don't have cable, so yes I have been watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles on Monday nights and it's kinda pretty good. I had never seen the original Terminator (I was a year old when it came out in 1984), so we netflixed it and watched it last night. Totally cheesy, totally 80's, and the visual effects where horrendous. However, Linda Hamilton was great. Here's a clip of the last scene when she's taking off to Central America in her red jeep, pregnant with her son, the saviour of mankind. Love the shades, bandana around her head, and jumper with tee.

Style Collage

I had such a fun night last night and I'm sure part of it was wearing out this amazing dress that I was lucky to find thrifting the other day. I bought it thinking that it wouldn't fit me, but to my pleasant surprise it fit perfectly!! I think that I might have to wear the seashell belt all the time now too.

Old Nylons

In an effort to have less stuff, I have been going through the boxes and boxes of old magazines that I have; tearing out sheets that I find inspiring and throwing the rest of them in the recycling bin. Some of the fashion from the late nineties early 2000's is so horrendous but some is just as influential and exciting now as it was then. The below photos are from Nylon about 1997 to 2001.

Fashion is Fickle (but maybe it's just me)

Some seasons it seems as though I love every look that every designer puts out, even from designers who I rarely ever like. Call it the mood, theme, feeling or whatever else of the season. Other times I find it hard pressed to even find one look that remotely interests me. I'm sorry to say that by what I've seen so far, Fall 2008 belongs to the latter category. Maybe it's just because it's cold and I want to see bright summer frocks, but I'm not very impressed. Looking through show after show on style.com, I only found a few things to post here that I thought showed fashion going in a good direction. Hopefully the best is yet to come.
